CHAPTER 9

WARTON

I lead her to my room and pull out a t-shirt for her to wear. I walk out and beckon for my brothers to follow me. We walk into Showken’s art room and shut the door. I seal the room so our voices can’t be heard.

“FUCK! I really want to kill. Please tell me why I can’t kill a human?” Pushing over some of the equipment in the room, I growl.

“Calm down, brother. Why did you bring her here when you’re like this?” Domlen demanded.

“This is not the time to piss me off. Her arrogant brother tried to threaten me.”

Domlen and Hawken look at each other and then at me.

“You can’t kill her brother. In fact you should leave. Just go home and fly for a while.” Hawken states.

“I’m not going anywhere. That asshole tried to make her leave with him and don’t push me on this, Hawken, or it will be your afla.” I snarl.

“So what do you what us to do?” Domlen asks.

“I guess I just wanted to get it off my chest. I needed to talk to stop my beast from coming through.” I say, rubbing my face with my hands.

“Well, I have to leave and will be gone a few days.” Domlen announces.

“Yeah, you should know, our mother has made your situation clear, Domlen.” Hawken glares.

“Well, you should know I’m not going to listen to her.”

“Where are you going?” I demand. The least I can do is ask where he’s going.

“Michigan, I have a lead.” He replies.

My brothers and I talk for a few minutes discussing a family dinner we all need to attend in a few days. That means on Tuesday, we will all need to disappear. Cess, our future queen wants a dinner with everyone present and naturally, Draken must comply with her wishes so we have been summoned home for one day.

Then we all hear Bree yelling for me. I can’t help but smile. She’s really very entertaining.

“I see that the ‘I don’t like human females’ Draglen brother is smiling about a human female.” Hawken teases.

“Hawken, do you like being most the most disliked brother?” Domlen asks.

Before Hawken can respond, Bree’s yells again. “WARTON WHERE ARE YOU?” Wow! Her voice really carries. We open the door and she’s walking around wearing only my shirt which is almost long enough to serve as a dress. The scent of her arousal hits me as well as my brothers. They both look at her with big smiles.

“Ms. Castell, why are you yelling for me?” I snap. I’m more pissed that she’s walking around like this than by her screeching.

“You left me in a room, alone, for over forty minutes, asshole.”

“You do have flare.” Domlen says to her as he turns to leave.

Hawken winks at her which gets him a growl from me as he also walks away. I turn my attention to Bree and she’s standing there with a grin.

“Why the hell couldn’t you just wait for me?”

“If I wanted to be in a room alone, I could have had you drop me off at home.
